ISME demonstration of the WiMUST system at SeaLab
As a follow-up of the European H2020 project WiMUST, coordinated by ISME, the Center of Integrated Systems for Marine Environment, a demonstration of the system has taken place at SeaLab in collaboration with CSSN. For more than two hours four unmanned vehicles have navigated autonomously in formation, on the sea and underwater. This proven capability of navigation, also towing small size acoustic arrays, developed in WiMUST for geotechnical exploration, has been successfully demonstrated in an operational context closer to Navy needs.
